4.5.13

I will leave these three as untitled for now, taken in Philadelphia on April 28.  Since returning from Miami - for reasons I cannot fully explain - I have not been seeing much I wanted to photograph and the few photos I have taken are mostly not worth others seeing, even on this studio site.

This paucity may have something to do with more discrimination.  In April I selected, printed, and matted what I consider my best pieces of the last year.  There are forty-four.  So there is now an inclination to find and frame only those that are at least as good or better.  This may be a kind of hubris.  Better perhaps to appreciate whatever beauty is offered.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been trying to reclaim or construct-anew my perspective.  There is a wonderful exhibition of mixed media at the Hirshorn (through September 8).  A rather dreary collection at the Boston Institute of Contemporary Art may have set me back (exceptions certainly, especially a Luther Price Bestiary).

I am now offering for sale fourteen limited editions at the Saatchi Online Gallery.
